What to do with Christmas patterned paper after Christmas?

OK, the Christmas cards are made for this year, but I still have Christmas-themed Designer Series Paper (DSP) left over. What should I do with it?

Here are some ideas, using DSP that I have been carrying for 2 years since it retired! Many of you will recognize the paper from the Christmas cards I just mailed out. It's too pretty not to use up, so I found some card designs that make the most of the DSP for other occasions.

Here is a reminder of how it looks as a Christmas card (this one is borrowed from another Stampin' Up! demonstrator, since I didn't take photos of my own cards!)

And here are 3 designs that I came up with, inspired by Stampin' Up! demonstrator Karen Titus's Double Wonder card template from March of 2021. They are bright and bold, yet not a hint of Christmas about them. Enjoy!

Stampin' Up! Cards from the Fall Fiesta, part 1

 

Happy Thanksgiving!

I am thankful for many things, including you, my stamping friends.

I was blessed to be able to attend the Fall Fiesta stamping event in Neillsville with 2 carloads of you - and what a fun day it was.

Here is the first batch of cards we made that day. I have more to share, will try to get them posted soon.  Enjoy!

I'll start with this Z-fold card that uses the humorous images and words from the Way To Goat stamp set. Hmmm.... not sure who I can send this one to...

We have 2 stamp sets with images from the world of fashion, Dressed to Impress and Handsomely Suited.

And the last 2 cards for this post use the Blossoms in Bloom bundle with 2 different color schemes. The greeting will be stamped at the bottom of the card front. I am keeping them unstamped until I decide who I will send them to.

And before I forget, the stamps and dies used on the card at the top of this post are from the Beauty of Tomorrow Bundle from the July to December 2021 Mini Catalog. Everything in that catalog is available until January 3, 2022.

A Positive Thought

 The Positive Thoughts stamp set is still one of my favorites. This colorful card uses that stamp set and its coordinating dies, plus the Field and Flowers Designer Series Paper from Sale-A-Bration.

A Sneak Peek at Hand-Penned Suite

 

It is a rare day when I have all the supplies needed to exactly CASE (Copy And Share Everything) a design from one of the “big” Stampin’ Up! demonstrators , but it happened yesterday!

I saw this stunning tower card design from demonstrator Mary Deatherage and recognized that I have all the same parts and pieces from my new catalog pre order. Mary graciously put the measurements and scoring/cutting directions on her website just so others can copy her gorgeous design. 

About 15 minutes in my stamp room was all it took. What do you think? Would you like to learn how to make this tower card in one of my classes?

Saying Goodbye to . . . Butterfly Gala Stamps and Butterfly Duet Punch

 

This stamp set and punch bundle has been a favorite combination of mine. I enjoy the convenience of stamping the images, grabbing a punch, and quickly getting those cute butterflies to put on cards. And it comes with a nice variety of word stamps.

The set gives us options in the style of the butterflies and how to color them. We can either stamp on colored cardstock, punch and done, or use the two-step-stampin' technique with the color block stamps for the butterfly bodies, or use markers or Stampin' Blends. You can see each of these techniques used in the photos here.

Enjoy this look back at some of the projects we have made in classes with this versatile set. It is available from Stamipn' Up! until May 3, then it will fly away forever! 

NOT Saying Goodbye to . . . "Nothing's Better Than..."

 

This stamp set grabbed my attention today. It is called "Nothing's Better Than" and it is NOT retiring with the start of the new catalog, I just felt like featuring these whimsical sentiments today.

I'll bet you can think of someone who would get a smile from one of these cards!
