February Swap Card

 

Happy Sunday, my stampin' friends!

Isn't this a peaceful, lovely card? This is the February swap card from my friend Diana. It is a fun fold as you can see below. I just love the color combination.

Easy Birthday Card

 

One of the features I most appreciate about Stampin' Up! products is that they "play well together."

For my assisted living card class in March, I wanted to use the bold geometric dies from the Desert Details bundle in the January to June 2023 mini catalog. 

I searched my stash of Designer Series Papers for a pattern to use on the card, and found this geometric print in an unexpected place.  It is part of the Enjoy the Journey suite of products in the same mini catalog but it also coordinates very nicely with the Desert Details  die-cut shapes.

From the colors in the paper, I chose Just Jade cardstock for the base of the card, Pale Papaya for the mat and shapes, and Garden Green for the accent stripe.

My stampers requested birthday cards for the March class, so I used the "Happy Birthday" greeting from the Nuts about Squirrels stamp set on the front, and a verse stamp from Peaceful Moments for the inside.

I finished the card off with the metallic embellishments for some added dimension.

I need 2 more card designs for the class, and I just may use more of the same Designer Series Papers. There are so many possibilities with this set!
