Stampin' Up! Color Refresh is coming

To stay on trend Stampin' Up! refreshes our color families every so many years. This is our year! You may see colors moved to another color family or be replaced with a new color.

Keep in mind that we will also get New In Colors for 2023 to 2025, and the 2021-2023 In Colors are going away.

What does this mean to you?
Take inventory of your ink pads - do you need ink refills?
Do you need to order cardstock in your favorite colors?

I highly recommend that you order the things you need ASAP. Once the color announcement is made on March 29, 2023 there will be a run on supplies of inks, cardstock, etc. They usually sell out quickly!

Watch for my next post in a few days - in addition to information about the color refresh, I expect to have the "Last Chance List" of products that will be retiring at the end of April. Many items will be discounted, but again, they sell out quickly as they are only available "while supplies last."

Happy Stampin!

Waves of Inspiration and Birthday Cards for March Class

I received a commission today to make a card of encouragement for a pastor recovering from heart surgery. The person who made the request would like to have multiple people sign the card, so I went with the 5 by 7 inch format. I looked at my stash of papers, stamp sets and dies and selected the Waves of Inspiration suite of products. This card turned out even nicer that I hoped for. How do you like it?

The March card class at Arborwood assisted living facility is coming up next week. The stampers there asked for more birthday cards, and in particular, a masculine birthday card. I stayed away from the flowery stamps and designed these 3 cards. I think my friends are going to enjoy them!

The first card uses word stamps from the Peaceful Moments and Nuts About Squirrels sets. All die cut shapes are from the Desert Details die set (I sure hope they carry it over into the next catalog!). I used the Banners Pick a Punch on the white word piece and the patterned paper is from a set called  Enjoy the Journey.

I can't decide if this manly birthday card looks like a picture hanging on the wall or the view through a window. I used the blending brushes to create the background and stamps from the Grassy Grove set for ground, trees and deer. The frame was made with the nesting dies from the Stitched Rectangles set, and the word stamps and embossing folder are sadly retired.

The design for this card is copied from a layout in the Stampin' Up! annual catalog on page 179. The words are from the Sending Smiles stamp set and the die cuts are from the very versatile Basic Borders set. This happy patterned paper was a free item from Sale-A-Bration. I used a blending brush to color the "birthday wishes" piece before punching it with the Double Oval punch.

Happy Stampin!

All the February Swap Cards, plus Online Exclusives premiere today!

I have a couple of items for you today. First of all, cards!

The 2 cards above are what I sent to my friends Beth and Diana in our monthly swap. I used the outdoorsy stamps, dies and designer series paper from the Enjoy the Journey suite of products on page 59 of the current Stampin' Up! mini catalog.

The paper patterns alone give us a great variety of choices for cards.

And here are the cards I received from my friends in the swap. Beth's card is on the left, Diana's on the right.

And in case you haven't heard yet, Stampin' Up! is introducing some new products and some returning favorites today, March 1, 2023.

If you click here, it will take you to Stampin' Up's online store where you can see all the new offerings, including stamps, dies, punches, papers, embellishments, card kits and more.
