Stampin' Up! Retiring List with Discounts!

The day we demonstrators anticipate with mixed emotions has arrived -

Stampin' Up! has sent out the online preview copy of the new catalog to us demonstrators - Yay!

They have also sent out the list of all the stamp sets, punches, dies, papers, embellishments, etc., that will be retiring - Boohoo!

But there are a number of retiring items that are being offered at a discount, while supplies last.

Here is the document with the retiring list:   https://su-media.s3.amazonaws.com/media/Promotions/2021/03_Last-Chance-Product-Sale/Last-Chance-Lists/Last-Chance-Prodcts-Annual-Catalog-2020-2021_US.pdf

March Swap Cards, Group 3

Here is the final bunch of cards from my March spring- and Easter-themed swap. I've enjoyed looking at them over and over again, and I know they will be enjoyed again when I mail them out to friends and family.

Do you have a favorite?

Don't forget, the Stampin' Up! Retiring Items List will be coming out later today, and those items will only be available until April 3 or while supplies last.

Happy Stampin!

March Swap Cards, Group 2

Welcome back for the second group of swap cards from my Stampin' Up! demonstrator group.

If you missed the first group, just go back to the previous post when you're done looking at these!

In case you're wondering about all the "shine" on this Easter card, the word "Easter" was die cut from the metallic cardstock, and gold foil leaf was added to the flowers in the Designer Series Paper. It's even more eye-popping in person.

Come back Monday to see more - Happy Stampin!

March Swap Cards Group 1

The March swap cards arrived from my Stampin' Up! demonstrator group - Yay!

It's always so fun to receive cards from this talented and creative group of stampers. I go through them over and over again to pick up fresh ideas for getting the most out of my stamps and stuff.

There are over 20 cards this month, so I'll send them out to you 4 or 5 at a time. Here is the first group.  Enjoy!

This is the inside of the Z-fold card you see above -

Which of these cards inspired you with a color scheme, or card layout, or use of embellishments?

Check back soon for the next set of cards - Happy Stampin!

What to do with all the little scraps...

It's always a dilemma to decide whether to keep all those little pieces of printed paper or just throw them out. It seems a shame to waste them.

Well last week, I came across this idea for how to make a pretty card with those little odds and ends. In my last blog post, I mentioned Mystery Stamping, and this is another idea I got from participating in a Mystery Stamping event.

After making one card, I still had a pile of scraps left over, so I made 3 more. Which is your favorite?

Mystery Stamping Card

Happy Monday!

I'm getting my fingers inky in the stamp room this evening. This card is the result of participating in the latest craze in card making, called Mystery Stamping!

The host of the Mystery Stamping gives a list of all the cardstock, stamps, ink and other supplies you will need to make the card, including the measurements for the cardstock pieces and general guidelines for which colors to use.

At the scheduled time, the host goes on either YouTube live or Facebook live and gives you the "clues", step by step instructions for how to stamp and assemble the pieces. You don't get to see them make a card, you just get the clues.

Following the clues produces a finished card, and then the host will show the card that they made. They usually ask those who participated to post photos of their cards somewhere so we can see all the possibilities.

It's so much fun because each person's card turns out well, no matter how different from the original card. AND you get to use the stamps, ink and cardstock that you already have on hand.

The card in the photo was created with today's Mystery Stamping by Sharon Armstrong, but there are more and more stampers who are offering Mystery Stamping.

Is that something you would like to try?
