For my card in the 6th Swap group this month, I used the "Emboss Resist" technique, an oldie but a goodie.
I stamped the Butterfly Brilliance background stamp with Versamark ink on Basic White cardstock, then used clear embossing powder to heat emboss the images.
Using blending brushes, I applied So Saffron ink to the top of the image and Balmy Blue to the bottom, to create the look of a sunny summer sky.
With sponge daubers, I applied Coastal Cabana and Cajun Craze ink just to the butterflies. Then I wiped the ink off of the embossed butterflies to make the white parts pop.
With all that detail going on, I kept the rest of the card fairly simple.
