Hi Stampin' Friend!
I am bringing you two more of the cards I made with last weekend's online stamping retreat. Both of these are fun folds, one is pretty simple to make, the other is a bit complex but not hard.
First the simpler one -
This is basically 2 cards layered together. Then I die cut the opening in the outer card. Removing the card from my Big Shot die cutting machine, I folded the card so I could see the middle layer through the opening I just die cut in the top layer. Using Washi tape to hold it in place, I centered the next size smaller die in the opening. I opened the card all the way up and die cut the second layer. Then I stamped and decorated with the die cut flowers.
Incidentally, all the stamps and flower dies that I used on this card are from the Peaceful Moments and Painted Poppies stamp sets and their coordinating die cuts. Sadly, they are all retiring in a few weeks. I am going to miss the set with the words because it has coordinating sentiments for card fronts and insides, for a variety of occasions. Check them out in case you want to add them to your stamp collection before they are gone.
Here is what the card looks like when opened.
The cards and matching envelope are from the Tea Boutique cards and envelopes set, also retiring soon.
And here is the more complex but oh-so-fun card -
This template has been around for awhile but it was fun to revisit it during the retreat. I used retired stamps, punches, cardstock (Just Jade) and designer series paper, because I have so much to use up and it is so pretty.
Yes, it really is a card, and folds to fit in a standard A2 envelope.
There is a place to write a note on the back of the box.
Would you like to make either of these cards yourself? I am always happy to schedule a private card class at your convenience with any of the designs I show, although the colors and patterns may differ slightly. Simply contact me and we'll set something up.
I have more cards to share with you. Watch for my next blog post. Happy Stampin!
