Cards I Made on My Summer Vacation, June 2026

.

Eric and I just returned from a 2 week fishing trip to Lake of the Woods in Ontario, Canada. Of course, I took along a kit of card-making supplies for the times we weren't out in the fishing boat.

But first, a glimpse of one of the gorgeous sunsets over the lake.

I took along some instructions from various online card classes in case I didn't feel like designing my own cards from scratch. The card below is from a design created by Jackie Bolhuis for the Fall 2023 Creativate Retreat. It's a great way to use up those scraps that we can't bear to throw away. Each of the patterned paper squares is 1 1/4" by 1 1/4". All these cards are the standard A2 size, 5 1/2 by 4 1/4 inches.

I used a template from another Creativate retreat to make these cards. Sharon Armstrong designed it for the Summer 2022 Creativate virtual retreat. This is a form of one-sheet-wonder, where you use the pattern to cut a 6x6 sheet of patterned paper into 4 shapes, then make 4 cards with the shapes. I had purchased several packs of this patterned paper before it retired because all the designs are so cheerful!

The final card is from a design by Sharon Armstrong for the Spring 2026 Creativate retreat.

Thanks for looking - Happy Stampin!
